If you are looking for the best Android 7.1 Nougat for LG G3, you may want to try the latest CrDroid ROM, which is one of the few Nougat ROMs available for the LG G3. Fortunately, this ROM is available for most of the LG G3 models including T-Mobile D851, Canadian D852, Korean F400, Sprint LS-990, and Verizon VS-985.

For this week’s ROM of the Week, check out the latest BlissPop ROM.
Based on latest Android 6.0.1, BlissPop Marshmallow ROM brings you the latest and greatest performance and features from Android Marshmallow. While I was rather impressed with Fulmics ROM, I did have some lag issues at times and decided to try a pure AOSP ROM. Well, this certainly is one of the best AOSP ROMs you can install for your LG G3 but it is currently only available on T-Mobile LG G3 D851. (It may work on other GSM models so if you are a flasholic, please try and let me know and I will update this.)
Everyone has been literally raving about this new ROM that converts your LG G3 into LG G5. Yes, that ROM is called the Fulmics ROM.
Ported from LG G5, you will get to enjoy the all-new LG UX 5.0 and apps from LG G5, converting your G3 into G5 as far as everything goes with the software. Of course, anything that requires actual G5 hardware is not possible such as fingerprint sensor or camera.
For those of you looking for a solid Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow ROM for your T-Mobile LG G3 D851, definitely check out the XOSP ROM.
XOSP, short for “Xperia Open Source Project”, is a custom ROM that aims to bring users Xperia UI/apps/features on top of CyanogenMod ROM. For those of you who like Sony everything, this may be the perfect ROM for you as it comes loaded with Xperia Z5 launcher, apps, and theme. Of course, even if you don’t appreciate the Xperia stuff, the XOSP ROM performs flawless in terms of great performance and battery life.
For those of you looking for Android 6.0 Marshmallow experience on the LG G3, latest CM13 ROM nightlies seemed to be still the most stable and one you can daily drive.
Although not too much has changed since our last post of CM13, it seems like the latest CM13 has improved on performance a ton, much better battery life, and a new camera app.
For those of you looking to experience Android 6.0 Marshmallow with root today (not when LG updates in a few months), you can grab the latest CM13 ROM from CyanogenMod Team. These are official nightlies from CM Team and upon testing them as daily driver, I found them nearly flawless.
Almost everything works out of the box so far that I’ve tested including voice, data, bluetooth, NFC, etc…etc… The only thing not working was the 4K video recording but 1080P video recording and still camera works flawless.
Want the latest Android 5.1.1 with root and a ton of customization?
If so, definitely check out the latest CyanideL ROM. Based on latest Android 5.1.1, you will get pretty much all of the new features of CM12.1 along with slew of customization not offered in CM12.1.
Want to try out the latest Android 5.1.1 with root for your LG G3?
Check out the latest CM12.1 ROM, available for all variants of LG G3. CyanogenMod team released Android 5.1.1 builds few days ago and you can grab these to try the latest Android 5.1.1.
For those of you who want to update your rooted LG G3 to Lollipop firmware and keep root/TWRP, you will want to install stock ROMs.
If you update to latest Lollipop firmware using OTA (over-the-air) or LG G3 stock firmwares, you will run into the problem of not being able to install TWRP due to new locked bootloaders on Lollipop. (Currently there is TWRP for Lollipop on D855 only!)
If you are looking for a good Android 5.0.2 Lollipop AOSP ROM (What is AOSP?), then definitely check out the BlissPop ROM.
Based on latest Android 5.0.2 Lollipop, BlissPop is a highly-modified version of CM12, bringing you a ton of customizations including some features from Android 5.1. I know Android 5.1 just came out and one of the coolest features is its drop-down WiFi menu so you can easily switch your wireless network. Well, with BlissPop, you get pretty much the same feature with its Bliss Interface in Settings.
