LG G3 Root

LG G3 Root on Android 5.0.1/5.0.2 Lollipop!

I have some great news for those of you trying to root your LG G3 on Android 5.0.1/5.0.2 Lollipop.  There’s a new root method that now allows you to easily root on Lollipop using a hole in LG’s firmware fastboot mode.   Thanks to XDA user Unjustified Dev and a Korean user, we now can root our phones easily on all Windows/Mac/Linux/Ubuntu/Chromebook!

How to Unroot/Unbrick LG G3!

For those of you who may soft-brick your LG G3 (soft-brick is when you are stuck in a bootloop), want to return your phone back for warranty, or simply want to return back to 100% stock, here’s a step-by-step tutorial you can use.

First, you will need a Windows computer as LG Flashtool program does not support other operating systems.  (You may be able to use VMWare on Mac or Linux, it should work.)  This should work on all Windows including Windows XP, Windows 7, Window 8, and Windows 8.1. (I am using Windows 7 64-bit, I just don’t like Windows 8 that much.)

How to Root LG G3!

Thanks to Open Source developers, we have full root method for the LG G3!

There’s currently many root methods for the LG G3, this is one of those methods.

Now, this is the ONLY root method for those of you who T-Mobile LG G3 but also works for many others.

UPDATE: These root instructions are for KitKat ONLY!  If you have Lollipop, you can follow the guide here on How to Root LG G Flex 2, G2, and G3!
